The brilliance of the blue, I cannot describe.
Water nor ice know of such color.
Jays retreat within the forest and
The sky is left jealous, her eyes open.
All around, light, air aglow.
Radiance, a golden embrace.
Flames dancing, leaping,
Hearth ablaze
The darkness flees, fearing the dawn
Cowardly, it hides at her approach.
But come, she does, the way is shone.
The finale', a beginning.
Alone within my soul, fallen away to cold depths,
Never to feel the healing light
But Spring, she is, who brings the Summer.
For a season, I live again.
THE MOON
Shades of grey, before matted charcoal.
The path lies hidden in shadows.
What mystery begins?
Out of darkness, the pale sphere rises.
Of light, she appears amid infinite nothing.
I am awed by her radiance.
Points of light spring slowly to dance.
Upward and closer, my eyes drawn after
This brilliant pearl in the deepest of seas.
Streams, soft and white, reaching out.
Aura becomes me, wrapped in colours.
The air about me, luminous.
With a mist of golden truth, my eyes seduced open.
The path becomes light and it is only her, I see,
For she has conquered the night.
