That is the top of my child's birth certificate. Yes. It says "Certificate of Live Birth." No, the state never issued me a document called a "Birth Certificate." Yes, there is an original. I have a copy that was given to me, but I suspect the original is somewhere in the Department of Vital Records. No, you can't have access to those records. Yes, my daughter really was born in Arkansas. No, it's not a conspiracy that I have devised from the moment of her birth to create a right for her to one day serve as your President.
All this sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?
Yet arguments about Barack Obama have been swirling for quite some time. Was he born in Hawaii? Was he born in Kenya? Is he actually Indonesian through adoption?
Please, please let this end.
For at least the second time, Hawaiian officials have confirmed that Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, that he is, in fact, a natural-born citizen, and that he is qualified to be President.
According to Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino: "I . . . have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen . . . I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago."
And it's probably STILL not going to be enough to satisfy the conspiracy theorists.
At least Congress is apparently over it. Thank God.
Or Allah.
Or whomever.
The U.S. House on Monday unanimously approved a resolution recognizing and celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hawaii becoming the 50th state. A clause was included that reads: "Whereas the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961."
This issue is making people look very, very stupid.
And there are more important issues to nitpick to death. Like economic bailouts for massive corporations that have been overcharging consumers for years in the first place . . . . as an example.
Still, I suspect this event will simply become another "for example" that there is a massive conspiracy to allow Obama to lead us.
Whatever.

She already has enough nut cases harassing her there about this...and other...blogs. Having said that, I'm endorsing her baby for President of the United States in 2062.)
