- The Faulking Truth Projects Kerry the Winner in Tonight's Debate
by Mark Faulk The Faulking Truth, a self-described "fair and balanced online publication", has projected John Kerry as the winner in tonight's debate, basing their decision on preliminary data and early poll results.
According to a statement released early this afternoon, editor Mark Faulk said, "We based our early projections on a number of factors. First and foremost, it's obvious that President Bush is a bumbling idiot with the IQ and maturity of a college frat boy. Secondly, Kerry kicked Bush's redneck ass in the first debate, so there's no reason to expect a different outcome this evening. Third, the debate tonight is on domestic policies, and Bush has no domestic policies, which we feel puts him at a clear disadvantage. And finally, we conducted a poll this morning, asking likely voters the following question: 'Who do you think will do better in the debate tonight, will it be George W. Bush, or will John Kerry trounce the President just like he did last week?' "
According to the poll conducted by The Faulking Truth, 67% of the voters picked Kerry as the clear winner, and 33% picked Bush. Three people took place in the poll, which included only those likely to vote in the upcoming election. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 67 percentage points.
Faulk said that "In this election, it's important to tell voters what they think about the issues and how they feel about the debates, even before they happen if possible. By projecting Kerry the winner seven hours before the debate, we are helping voters to make up their minds without actually having to think."
"We believe that by waiting to put a spin on the debates until after they have ended, there is a danger that viewers will have already made up their own minds based on what they actually saw, and not on what we tell them they saw. To our knowledge, we are the first publication to actually project Kerry as the winner tonight. Now, it will be possible for the viewer to simply enjoy the debate without the added stress of having draw their own conclusions."
