- Palestinians Elect Abba by Wide Margin
by Mark Faulk George Bush announced his support for the newly-elected Presidents of the Palestinian Authority, saying that the election was "a historic day for Palestinian people."
"Palestinians throughout the West Bank and Gaza took a key step toward building a democratic future by choosing not just one, but four new presidents in elections that observers describe as largely free and fair."
He went on to say that he believed that the winner of the election, Abba, "most likely was chosen because of the optimistic message of their catchy campaign theme song, 'Take a Chance on Me'. Hey, if we can elect a body builder turned second-rate actor as Governer of California, why not a Swedish pop band as the presidents of a Mideast country? They have huge support internationally, and the fact that they can perform at their own inauguration will save the Palestinians money. I mean, c'mon, even the French like 'em."
Bush also said that although he would support whoever Abba chooses as their vice president, he hoped that they would pick Fernando, because "That's my second favorite Abba song, right behind 'Dancing Queen''.
"I look forward to holding private meetings with both Agnetha and Frida in the very near future, because, let's face it, those girls are STILL hot."
