- In Cyberspace, everyone can hear you scream....
   by Mark Faulk

In Cyberspace, everyone can hear you scream....

*4:56am spoke with a suspected drunk walking in the 1100 block of West Main and found the man was sober and walking to his sister's house.

I'd like to think that by now, I don't have to hold everyones' wee little hands and lead you across the cyberstreet to come visit the Faulking Truth. I'd like to think that by now you've just put us on cyberspeed dial, and you stop by for a cold one on your way to, from, or as seems to be all the rage these days, during work.

*6:02pm told someone she could not have a pig in the city limits.

But I said I'd send everyone an occasional update, and all of you took the ten seconds to sign up for our mailing list (unless some prankster friends signed up some of their Neocon co-workers as a cruel joke, in which case......um, sorry about that), so, here it is:

*9:39am looked for a small gray car with a man in the trunk.

Since our last update, when we congratulated everyone ("everyone" meaning all of you) for helping to save federal funding for public television, another internet movement proved successful: 23,000 people jammed the phone lines on Capitol Hill for two days last week, prompting Congress to approve an additional $100 million package to fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria around the world. It appears that the blogosphere has officially graduated from millions of "voices in the wilderness" to an interconnected force to be reckoned with.

*7:58am picked up a dead opossum from the middle of the road.

This week, we're asking everyone (that's you again) to contact members of the Senate Banking Committee and help us put a stop to Congressman Chris Cox's nomination to the position of Chairman of the SEC. You can find out how, when, why, and who to contact in "Common Cause Joins Fight to 'Stop Corporate Takeover of the SEC'" at.....where else?..... http://www.faulkingtruth.com/

*9:49pm checked on a walking drunk; she was drinking a soft drink, not beer.

You never know when we'll be asking all of you to join us in helping to make a Faulking difference in the real world, so don't wait for an engraved invitation with gold flocking, check in with us every faulking day. Right this minute, you could be learning about why America is "The Hummer of Countries", why you shouldn't believe everything you hear about the London bombings (can you say "coverup"....yet again?), where Osama might, or might not, be, what's wrong with Bush's Supreme Court nominee, and of course, every other faulking topic under the glow of your computer's sun.

*4:28pm someone at the police department was having mental problems.

We've always got great new articles from Robin Buckallew, Down the Middle, Ken Shade, Jeff Buckley, Russell Tharp, and of course, yours truly, the self-proclaimed "Rebellious Teenager Disguised as a Responsible Adult". We've got Ken's Quote of the Day, my Blogfest 2005, the always entertaining Faulking Message Board and Guestbook, and the most outrageous cast of regulars that you'll find in any asylum. Bring a lunch, stay for happy hour, and while you're there, post something yourselves so we'll know that you're still alive and kicking (and don't forget to click on a google ad now and then, so we can at least pay our piddling website bills).

Oh, and for the rest of the informative police reports that I've been sprinkling throughout this update, read "The News", by Down the Middle.....and yes, every word of it is the Faulking Truth.

*8:53am picked up a barking dong in the 700 block of Cypress.

Voice your opinion on our message board (you don't have to sign up to post).
