That's right, Faulkers......1,000,000 HITS!!!!!!!! NOW if we could only turn "HITS" into "DOLLARS".......
We'd all be sunbathing on a topless beach in the south of France......drinking pina coladas with those stupid little umbrellas in them.....But alas, dollars are dollars, and hits are but mere clicks of a computer mouse.
Aw, who the faulk cares.....the important thing is, "we're smart enough, we're good enough, and doggonit, people like us!" Expect for the ones who despise us, of course, but THEY'RE just jealous, because all they have is lots of money, and we've got something even more important than money, we've got.....um, we've got.....hmmmm, let me think about that one for awhile, and I'll get back to you.
All I know is, as Robin Buckallew so aptly put it, "We're on our way. Soon we'll be as big as Rush Limbaugh (metaphorically speaking, of course). We'll get a big message board, just like McDonald's - Billions and Billions served."
In honor of this momentous occasion, we've added a few new features to our website (thanks to webmaster extraordinaire Justin Faulk). First, we've added a Faulking Truth message board, where everyone can go and spout off their opinions, instead of emailing them to me, where I just lose half of them in the shuffle. Discuss our articles and commentaries, talk politics, the environment, the Iraqi War, religion, Stockgate, or jump in the middle of the antics of the Faulking Truth regulars, and see if you can hold your own. (Warning: Topics on the "regulars" forum might, um....stray a bit off of the beaten path....so don't be surprised if your serious discussion about the state of affairs in American politics suddenly turns into a debate about cross-dressing. I'm just saying, be ready for anything.)
We've also added a search engine so you can search for your favorite topics on the website, a "Stockgate Activist List" sign-up on our homepage (so you can get updates on the stock market scandal), and a "Make a Donation" feature so you can toss us a couple of ducats if you feel so inclined (recommended donation: one million ducats).
Since I've already rambled on forever, I'll just say this; we have a boat load of new articles, and here they are in one glorious run-on sentence: Ken Shade on Cheerleaders and Legislators in "Texas to the Rescue!", Robin Buckallew on our oversized American environmental footprints in "What Size Shoe do you Wear?", Down the Middle on alternative energy and falling wind turbines in "Hey!!! They're Stealing my Wind!", Jeff Buckley on how bloggers (that's us) have eclipsed the Major Media in every faulking way in "Why We Matter", me on a documentary in the works on Stockgate in "National Counterfeit Conspiracy Days, June 6th and 7th!", Robin again on evolution on trial in Kansas in "Giving Science a Wedgie", two new blog articles from me, one the anniversary of the Kent State massacre in "Four Dead in Ohio" and the other on war and Mother's Day in "Some Mother's Son", and a commentary on Ken's commentary called "An Editor's Confession: Ken, I Love You", aaaaaannnnndddd....finally (deep breath), another gorgeous poem from Pablo Neruda called "If You Forget Me".
Of course, Ken Shade is still expanding and altering the mind with his "Quote of the Day", and I'm still blogging in my spare time (like I have any). We also have a few articles that slipped into archive oblivion since my last update....but since we also added an "Editor's Favorites" section at the bottom of the home page, I'll just go and post those articles there right now. (See how handy all this new stuff is?)
And the best news of all? Not one article on the Runaway bride or Michael Jackson! Why? Because we matter! See you Faulkers later!
