- How I Spent My Summer Vacation
   by Mark Faulk

Good morning, Faulkers. Just got back into town from a nice trip to Florida with the family, and all in all, it was a great time. Okay, the food was mediocre (and overpriced), I got stung by a jellyfish, and we barely survived the ride through Louisiana (yet again). Plus, I'm more tired than when I left (what's up with that?).
This is mainly a preemptive self-defensive letter to tell you that we will have lots of new stuff up soon, but here are a few articles that didn't make the last update:

Robin Buckallew is on a roll, her work never ceases to amaze me. Her latest, "Crying Wolf", does exactly what our website is supposed to do, it tells the faulking truth. Look for her next one in a few days, it is a great one.

We continue our Stockgate coverage with "Who's Looking Out For You? SEC Critics Seeking Investigation". If you haven't already signed the petition at: http://www.investigatethesec.com/ , be sure to do it. We can't change the universe alone. Look for more on this issue in the near future.

We also have three articles that have absolutely nothing to do with politics, so consider them a sidetrip to personal enlightenment:
Russell Tharp is back (we just can't seem to shake him) with "Missed Connections", a touching love story about a stalker and his victim.
I've been on a bit of a philosophical binge lately: "Talking To God" espouses on the difference between spouses and soulmates, and between passion and s-e-x (oh, yeah, that will fool the spam blockers), and I tackle the tough questions of life in "Work Hard (And Other Observations)". That one is already in the archives, so here's a link to it: http://www.faulkingtruth.com/Articles/FaulkingAround/1003.html

Plus, we broke the 100,000 mark in hits (including 68,000 in June alone), so The Faulking Truth is spreading like a bad virus. Thanks to everyone for infecting others with us.

And finally, you'll notice a few changes to the site, mainly to make it easier to read and navigate, and to encourage everyone to visit the archives on occasion. Plus, our new "Random Bushism" section gives you a new pearl of wisdom from our Commander-in-Chief every time you refresh the homepage. You'll feel secure knowing our country in in capable hands, even if you happen to be a Hispano. Enjoy.
