Thanks to everyone for supporting The Faulking Truth. Traffic to the site has increased dramatically lately (into the tens of thousands of hits), and it looks as if the loonies are facing off against the liberals in what is shaping up to be the ugliest Presidential campaign ever. In many ways, this is not just about electing a President, this is a fundamental battle that could determine who controls the heart and soul of America.
We are still adding new articles to the site, but since things have been heating up (both at "The Faulking Truth" and in the real world), I thought I'd add this interim update. A few new items: Robin Buckellew's "Beef, It's What's For Dinner?" will make you think, and hopefully, act as well, "We Have Seen The Enemy..." takes a look at the reasons (and the likely consequences) behind the Iraqi prisoner abuse scandal, our words section features great lyrics by songwriter Robin Carty, and the comments are flying both in our guestbook and our "Letters To The Editor" section (entitled "Lunatic Fringe"). And finally, Ken Shade puts it all together in one stimulating artlcle. "This is Gratuitous" combines politics, sex, and humor: the holy trinity of journalism. I felt like smoking a cigarette after reading it.
I hope you gain something from it, and that in some small way, we have helped to enlighten or entertain you. Enjoy today, and pray for a better tomorrow. Remember, whether the winds of change are blowing with you or against you, button up your coat, turn up your collar, and follow your own chosen path. And in the words of the fake Kurt Vonnegut, "Always wear sunscreen."
